Role overview
Adani Natural Resources is seeking an Associate Manager for the Environment function in Nagpur, Maharashtra. This position focuses on managing environmental compliance, supporting statutory renewals and filings, and coordinating site-level execution of environmental management activities.
Key responsibilities
The role is split between compliance management and environmental clearance support. The first major part of the job covers brownfield compliance, including CTO renewals, pollution control authorizations, annual returns for hazardous waste, e-waste and biomedical waste where applicable, six-monthly compliance reporting, environment statements, self-compliance reporting to CGWA, online consent submissions, and compilation of sustainability data.
The remaining responsibility area includes support for green clearance matters such as EC, FC, FRA, WLC, WLMP, CGWA and related requirements, along with compliance to environment and forest conditions. The role also involves preparing and coordinating Form I and ToR documentation.
Required knowledge and background
The suitable candidate should have a solid understanding of ISO, OHS, IMS, DuPont standards and related systems. Practical experience with environmental management plan execution at site level, brownfield compliance management, CTO renewals, annual returns, environment statements, and environment clearance or public hearing processes is important. Familiarity with environmental equipment and how they function is also expected.
Work approach
This position requires active coordination with the site team and frequent visits to the site to ensure environmental management plans and compliance actions are implemented effectively.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold an M.Sc. in Environment, B.Tech in Environment, or M.Tech in Environment, along with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
