Role overview
General Atlantic is hiring a Capital Solutions Analyst to support investor relations and fundraising activities. This London-based role will work closely with the Capital Solutions team in Hong Kong, New York, and San Francisco, as well as colleagues in investment, legal, finance and accounting, and marketing. The position reports to the Managing Director of Capital Solutions.
The Capital Solutions team markets the firm’s global investment strategies to institutional limited partners around the world and oversees the fundraising process end to end, including marketing planning, creation of materials, and relationship development with current and prospective investors.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with servicing existing investors through portfolio updates, recurring investor materials, and responses to ad hoc requests.
- Prepare briefing packs for investor meetings by researching investor profiles and evaluating the firm’s investment offerings.
- Drive internal fundraising-related projects, including prospecting, product development, database upkeep, and pipeline tracking.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- One to three years of experience is strongly preferred in a placement agent, fund-of-funds, or alternative asset management environment, along with familiarity with institutional fundraising and the limited partner landscape.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability, including comfort working with financial data and turning it into clear takeaways.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, plus practical experience using AI tools and platforms such as large language models, AI-assisted research, or document drafting tools.
- Excellent written communication skills for producing polished presentations, memos, and investor-facing content, and strong verbal communication skills for cross-functional work in a global team.
- Well-developed project management and organizational abilities, with careful attention to detail.
- Professional maturity and a strong sense of responsibility and work ethic.
- Strong people skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a cohesive, high-pressure team environment.
