Role overview
This position focuses on keeping the company’s accounting records accurate and supporting the day-to-day running of the finance team. It is a practical, hands-on role that spans the entire accounting cycle, including invoice handling, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance work. Candidates with relevant experience are preferred, but the employer is open to training applicants who show strong commitment, a willingness to learn, and a positive mindset.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the complete set of accounts, including vendor invoice processing, payment arrangements, journal posting, inter-company charge recording, bank reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, fixed asset register updates, and general ledger maintenance.
- Carry out month-end closing tasks and ensure journals, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities are completed on time.
- Assist with intercompany transactions by coordinating with internal teams to prepare and reconcile entries.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Check balance sheet schedules against control accounts and complete reconciliations, including bank account checks.
- Work with external auditors when needed.
- Support statutory compliance activities such as filings, audits, and tax-related submissions, including GST.
- Take on other finance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of accounting experience is preferred, ideally with exposure to full sets of accounts.
- A diploma or degree in a relevant discipline is required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and similar office tools.
- Strong organization, follow-up, and task-tracking abilities.
- A proactive, energetic, and positive approach when handling work matters.
Additional information
This role is based in Singapore and is a full-time, on-site position. Training may be provided to suitable candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and eagerness to grow into the role.
