About the internship
This internship is focused on business development for MSMEs, with the goal of introducing payment solutions to micro, small, and medium enterprises in assigned territories. The work centers on finding leads, having consultative conversations, managing relationships, and supporting onboarding. It is a target-oriented role with strong learning value and the possibility of a full-time offer for high performers.
What you'll do
- Identify MSMEs in the assigned area and reach out to them proactively.
- Make cold calls and maintain regular follow-ups to keep the sales funnel active.
- Track and qualify prospects to build a healthy pipeline.
- Understand customer needs and payment-related pain points before proposing a solution.
- Pitch payment products in a way that matches the client’s business requirements.
- Walk prospects through product capabilities, onboarding steps, and commercial terms.
- Develop trust with business owners and other key decision-makers.
- Handle objections and respond to customer queries effectively.
- Follow up promptly to move deals toward closure.
- Support documentation and onboarding activities for new customers.
- Work with internal teams to ensure smooth activation.
- Capture market feedback on customer concerns and competitor offerings.
- Share insights that can help refine product positioning.
Eligibility and requirements
Applicants should be pursuing graduation or have recently completed it. The role is best suited to candidates who are interested in B2B sales, fintech, or business development, and who are comfortable working in a goal-driven environment. Communication skills, interpersonal ability, negotiation, persuasion, and a basic grasp of business operations are important. Familiarity with MS Excel or Google Sheets is also expected. Candidates should be self-driven and take ownership of their work.
Language and working style
Comfort in communicating in English, Telugu, Kannada, or Hindi is required. The internship is full-time and in-office, based in Bengaluru.
Compensation and perks
The stipend is fixed at INR 13,000 to 15,000 per month. Perks include a certificate and a letter of recommendation.
