About Pickerings
Pickerings is a well-established supplier of premium temporary building solutions. The company designs and provides space for a wide mix of customers, including schools that need extra classrooms, businesses that require more office accommodation, and construction projects that need office and welfare facilities.
Role Overview
This position sits within the depot operations team at Northampton and focuses on getting buildings ready for delivery. The work mainly involves cleaning and furnishing units so they are prepared for dispatch.
You will also carry out small-scale repairs to walls and doors, replace plumbing and electrical fixtures and fittings, and prepare external wall surfaces for painting.

- Hourly pay is £15.40.
- The role is based at the Pickerings depot in Northampton.
- Working hours are 45 per week, from 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
- Any overtime is paid at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have hands-on experience with industrial trades such as joinery, plumbing, and electrical work. This background may come from construction, property maintenance, or ideally from the temporary or modular building sector.
You should be able to work to deadlines, maintain a strong focus on safety and quality, and cooperate well with your teammates.
The work is physically demanding and carried out outdoors, so you need to be comfortable working in all weather conditions, including harsh or extreme weather.

- Company pension and life assurance cover.
- Cycle-to-work scheme.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
