Job description
Role overview
GLS/NXT is hiring a working student to support people operations, business processes, and office coordination. The position works closely with leadership and people managers to assist with hiring, onboarding, performance review activities, events, daily office administration, and systems support. The role is designed for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable contributing in a fast-moving, people-oriented setting where structure, communication, and process discipline matter.
What you will do
- Provide practical administrative assistance to the People & Business Process Manager whenever needed.
- Help with basic people-admin and compliance activities, such as tracking vacation balances and handling time-off requests.
- Organise, conduct, and review employee surveys, and help follow up on the outcomes where appropriate.
- Assist with the onboarding experience for new team members.
- Support the planning and delivery of team events.
- Help administer internal systems and tools, including Wrenly.
- Maintain the team birthday calendar and handle other repeated organisational tasks.
- Order office refreshments and supplies and keep the workplace stocked and running smoothly.

- Current enrolment in business administration, quality management, psychology, human resources, or a similar discipline.
- Well-developed organisational ability, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to juggle several tasks at once.
- A proactive approach with willingness to own recurring workflows and smaller projects.
- Confident communication skills in both German and English.
- Genuine interest in people operations, organisational development, operational excellence, and team dynamics.
- Strong people skills and confidence when interacting with different stakeholders, including leadership.
- A problem-solving mindset, along with the ability to ask relevant questions and keep work moving forward.
- Availability for 15 to 20 hours each week and enthusiasm for a dynamic, high-energy environment.
