Job description
Role overview
The Welfare Officer is responsible for overseeing employee welfare services and ensuring that all statutory welfare obligations at the factory are met. The purpose of the role is to keep welfare support running smoothly, maintain records and controls, and ensure the site stays compliant and prepared for audits.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the full welfare compliance cycle, including filing welfare returns, maintaining statutory registers and forms, managing committee documentation, handling welfare-related grievances, and ensuring NATS/NAPS compliance along with portal updates on iComply, IACL, and Control Manager.
- Take ownership of canteen operations and hygiene standards, including works committee coordination, budget monitoring, grievance resolution, and compliance with FSSAI requirements and internal policies.
- Administer employee welfare amenities such as uniforms and safety shoes, while maintaining accurate records, controlling budgets, and ensuring items are distributed on time.
- Oversee dispensary and occupational health activities, including medicine procurement, budget oversight, statutory reporting, health check-ups, vaccinations, and completion of annual medical records for BC and WC employees.
- Plan and manage welfare services and engagement activities such as transport and vehicle support, guest house and hostel upkeep, and creche maintenance, along with the execution of visits, events, and annual celebrations including sports camp, family day, and festivals according to the welfare calendar.
