Job description
Role overview
This position sits within the Operations department at the Blackhall (Walshestown) site in Naas, County Kildare. The core purpose of the role is to manage weighbridge activities end to end, including site entry control, waste acceptance checks, and the correct completion of movement records and supporting paperwork. All work must align with company procedures, EPA licence obligations, and applicable legal requirements.
Key duties
- Oversee weighbridge operations, including managing access to the site for lorries, vehicles, contractors, and visitors, and directing them to the correct area or contact person.
- Confirm that waste and deliveries arriving at the site are pre-approved and supported by the right documentation.
- Log all inbound and outbound waste movements in the relevant system and maintain associated records such as weighbridge dockets, electronic files, and folders.
- Support administration for waste or product dispatch, including preparing dockets and invoices where needed.
- Check incoming waste loads and paperwork to verify compliance with site licence conditions.
- Escalate any non-compliant waste or documentation issues to management without delay.
- Work closely with site and operations colleagues to resolve compliance, traffic, delivery, and waste movement issues efficiently.
- Assist with wider administrative tasks such as daily reporting, KPI updates, and monthly account reporting.
Reporting and records
- Keep weighbridge and waste records accurate and up to date.
- Use existing systems to prepare internal and external reports.
- Share waste and performance data with management on a regular basis.
- Handle administration and filing of environmental records and reports as required.
Systems and tools
- Use and maintain site systems, including weighbridge software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Work with management to improve and adapt systems so that operational accuracy and efficiency continue to increase.
