Job Summary
The Water Treatment Machine Operator will be in charge of running, watching over, and servicing water purification and treatment systems so the facility can consistently produce clean, safe drinking water that meets company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Run water treatment and purification equipment in line with the prescribed operating process.
- Keep an eye on treatment stages, pressure readings, flow levels, and water quality indicators.
- Carry out routine quality inspections and simple water tests to confirm safety compliance.
- Clean equipment daily, maintain sanitation, and complete minor machine upkeep.
- Spot faults, unusual readings, or operating problems and escalate them quickly.
- Record production output, maintenance activity, and quality control information accurately.
- Handle treatment chemicals and related materials safely and store them correctly.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental rules as well as internal company policies.
- Help with loading, unloading, and packing treated water products when needed.
- Assist with broader plant activities and take on other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Senior High School Certificate or an equivalent qualification is required; technical training will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in water treatment, production, or operating machinery is beneficial.
- A basic grasp of mechanical systems and machine operation is needed.
- Ability to work according to standard operating procedures and safety instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a solid focus on quality control.
- Physically capable of handling routine operational duties.
- Prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when necessary.
Working Conditions
- This is a machine-oriented role with regular exposure to equipment, water, and treatment chemicals.
- The job involves prolonged standing and other routine physical activities.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
