Job description
About the Role
Bathurst Regional Council is looking for a Waste Collection Officer to become part of its Waste Management Centre team. In this position, you will operate a waste collection vehicle and pick up household waste across Bathurst in line with relevant laws, regulations, and council procedures. You may also be assigned additional tasks within the Waste Management Centre as needed.
The role reports to the Waste Collection Team Leader.
Essential Criteria
- Current HR driver’s licence.
- Practical knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience operating tipping trucks.
- Demonstrated experience using lifting equipment.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong focus on delivering quality customer service and improving work processes.

Employment Details
This is a permanent full-time position. The ordinary work pattern is 38 hours per week, with a rostered day off every three weeks.
Salary is $1,118.30 to $1,175.00 per week, plus 12% superannuation.
