Role overview
Lyreco UK and Ireland is hiring a full-time Washroom Service Operative for the Manchester City Centre service area. This is a permanent position with a 45-hour work week, Monday to Friday, and a salary of £31,473 per year.
In this field-based role, you will service a range of washroom equipment and consumables, making sure customer sites receive reliable and punctual support. The job calls for a strong customer-focused approach, since you will represent the business directly when visiting clients.
Key duties
- Collect and dispose of waste from production or site premises in a safe and orderly way.
- Check all documentation for services completed, products delivered, or goods returned, and ensure it is signed off correctly.
- Carry out daily checks on the vehicle before starting customer visits.
- Complete the service visits and schedules assigned by the Service Support Administrator.
- Follow health and safety requirements at all times, including safe manual handling.
- Keep working hours within Working Time Directives and Driving Time Directives.
Equipment and service areas
The role includes the servicing of feminine hygiene units, nappy waste systems, sharps units, air freshener systems, and vending machines.
What the employer is looking for
You should be able to manage your own workload, work independently, and stay professional when dealing with customers. Strong interpersonal skills are important, along with a calm, diplomatic manner.
A full UK driving licence is required, and the selected candidate will need to pass a DBS check.
