About the Role
TWYFORD INTERNATIONAL is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Specialist to join our team in Lusaka, Zambia. This full-time, onsite position is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of hardware materials, spare parts, and factory supplies within our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks from receiving and inspecting goods to managing inventory and ensuring a safe, organized work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily unloading of inbound shipments, meticulously inspect received goods, and manage the outbound delivery of hardware materials, spare parts, and factory supplies.
- Ensure the accuracy of quantities and the completeness of all operational documentation for inbound and outbound movements.
- Perform daily and periodic stocktaking, promptly identify and record inventory discrepancies, and address any unusual stock situations.
- Generate standardized stocktaking reports as mandated by management.
- Maintain a high standard of warehouse organization, including sorting goods, managing shelving and zones, and ensuring the tidiness of the environment.
- Implement basic fire safety measures to uphold a safe and orderly warehouse.
- Systematically sort and archive all warehouse operational documents.
- Collaborate with the team to reconcile monthly inventory counts, ensuring perfect alignment between physical stock and system records.
- Undertake any other warehouse operational duties assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirements
- Possess a college degree or higher qualification; a background in warehouse and logistics is advantageous.
- A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a warehouse setting is required.
- Demonstrated familiarity with managing hardware materials and spare parts inventory is essential.
- Previous experience in a mining or manufacturing factory environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accurate goods counting and a solid understanding of fundamental warehouse operational procedures.
- Good English communication skills are necessary for effective daily coordination and collaboration.
- Must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and highly responsible.
- Ability to adapt to an on-site warehouse working environment and adhere strictly to company policies and regulations.
