Role purpose

The Warehouse Officer will handle a broad mix of warehouse tasks, including receiving stock, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for dispatch.

Key responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and send orders each day so delivery deadlines are consistently met.
  • Accept incoming stock and verify goods on receipt.
  • Replenish shelves and keep stock rotated correctly.
  • Ensure all stock movements are supported by the required documentation.
  • Keep the warehouse area clean and organised.
  • Help review warehouse and product layouts when needed.
  • Break stock into smaller units of measure where required.
  • Carry out general warehouse tasks as assigned.
  • Support inventory control to reduce lost sales caused by stock shortages.
  • Participate in stock counts and reconciliation activities as needed.
  • Work with team members to keep product images, codes, and descriptions current.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to improve the efficiency of daily operations.
  • Step in on other duties when the business requires support.
  • Operate a walk-behind forklift.
  • Use an order picker and wave equipment.
  • Complete local deliveries during the week.

Skills, experience, and education

  • Strong organisational ability.
  • Physical fitness and the capacity to lift up to 20 kg.
  • A full driver’s licence is essential.
  • A forklift licence is preferred.
