Job description
Role and Responsibilities
The Warehouse Officer will be responsible for ensuring that productivity targets are achieved and for maintaining both administrative and automated storage and retrieval systems (ERP). This role also involves ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and taking accountability for the security of the premises and inventory. Key duties include setting up warehouse layouts and space management, developing organizational charts, and implementing procedures such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and 5S methodology. The officer will manage stock control, overseeing the secure receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods, as well as shipment loading, transferring, document recording, and data entry into the system. A core function is to continuously plan all warehouse resources and activities in alignment with company objectives and set targets. The role may also involve performing other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Procurement is required. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field is necessary.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage warehouse operations. Excellent organizational and systematic work habits are essential. The ability to motivate staff and a strong aptitude for numerical tasks are important. The role also requires effective time management skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team. Supervisory and follow-up capabilities are also preferred.
Languages
Proficiency in Arabic is required, along with good command of English.
