Role overview
At The Dubai EDITION in Dubai, UAE, the Waiter/Waitress for DUOMO is expected to deliver a refined dining journey through attentive, personalised, and polished food and beverage service. The position calls for someone who can uphold luxury hospitality standards from the moment guests arrive until they leave, while maintaining strong product knowledge, smooth execution, and meticulous attention to detail.
The right candidate will bring authentic hospitality, clear communication, and the ability to sense guest needs in a busy, high-end dining setting.
Guest experience
- Greet visitors warmly and set a positive tone from the start.
- Introduce menus, highlight daily specials and promotions, and make menu suggestions with confidence.
- Capture food and drink orders accurately through the POS system.
- Deliver dishes and beverages in line with EDITION’s luxury service expectations.
- Respond to guest requests quickly and with professionalism.
- Observe guest preferences and provide tailored service throughout the meal.
- Address concerns or complaints politely and involve a supervisor when needed.
- Develop a friendly connection with guests to support satisfaction and repeat visits.
Food and beverage service
- Maintain a strong understanding of the menu, ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, and beverage list.
- Suggest suitable food and drink combinations to elevate the dining experience.
- Follow the correct service order and table service sequence at all times.
- Keep an eye on tables during service to ensure guests remain well looked after.
- Remove used items and reset tables efficiently while preserving a neat presentation.
- Prepare guest checks accurately and handle payments according to hotel procedures.
- Actively support upselling efforts to help drive restaurant revenue.
Operational duties
- Carry out opening, closing, and other assigned side work.
- Keep tables, service stations, and work areas tidy, orderly, and properly stocked.
- Follow hygiene and cleanliness requirements in line with HACCP and food safety rules.
- Ensure service equipment and operating items are cared for appropriately.
- Process cash and billing tasks carefully and accurately.
- Escalate maintenance concerns, stock shortages, or guest incidents without delay.
Teamwork and coordination
- Coordinate closely with kitchen, bar, hostess, and stewarding teams to keep service running smoothly.
- Assist team members during peak service periods.
- Participate in daily briefings and departmental training.
- Build cooperative working relationships across hotel departments.
Health, safety, and compliance
- Observe hotel health and safety procedures at all times.
- Follow food hygiene and sanitation standards consistently.
- Maintain grooming and uniform presentation in accordance with EDITION brand requirements.

Qualifications and experience
A diploma or certification in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Service, or a similar area is preferred. Extra hospitality certifications will be considered an advantage.
The role requires a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in waiter or waitress service within a luxury hotel, fine dining venue, or upscale restaurant. Experience in an international five-star hotel is highly desirable, and prior exposure to luxury lifestyle brands is beneficial.
