VP of Data & Analytics

Role overview

This is a senior leadership opportunity to relocate to Dubai and build a data function from the ground up inside a fast-growing consumer business. The position goes far beyond traditional BI or reporting leadership: data sits at the heart of the product, and the company has access to a highly valuable, distinctive dataset in its sector.

The selected leader will be expected to shape a modern data platform, create actionable intelligence, and help drive commercial expansion through better use of data. The role includes taking ownership of an existing team, expanding its capabilities, improving the quality and governance of data, and identifying new revenue opportunities through sharper decision-making.

The business is seeking someone with strong technical depth and commercial judgment, who is comfortable working hands-on when required, has experience building data teams from scratch, and can help move the organization from early-stage complexity to scalable execution.

Key responsibilities

• Create and steer the overall data strategy for the business.
• Design and implement a modern, AI-ready data platform with a semantic layer.
• Put in place reliable data quality controls, governance processes, observability, and trusted metrics.
• Oversee data ingestion, warehousing, and multi-tenant architecture work.
• Lead BI, analytics, forecasting, and customer-facing data product initiatives.
• Work closely with senior leaders to surface growth levers and commercial insights.
• Grow and coach a strong data team while using AI to improve productivity and business impact.

Experience and capabilities required

• At least 15 years of experience across modern data platforms, architecture, SQL, and data modelling.
• Practical experience with contemporary cloud-based data stacks.
• A track record of building and scaling data teams in startup-style environments.
• Strong expertise in data modelling, warehousing, and analytics.
• The ability to convert data into measurable business outcomes and growth opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and a confident executive presence.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong interest in AI-enabled data platforms and next-generation analytics.

Nice-to-have background

• Experience with predictive analytics, forecasting, churn analysis, and LTV modelling.
• Exposure to SaaS, analytics products, or multi-tenant technology environments.

Additional information

This role requires relocation to Dubai.
