In addition to that brand, the company is building original live concepts centered on dance, music, and immersive storytelling.
Every FAL production is built to deliver emotion, humor, and premium storytelling, with the aim of raising the bar for live entertainment and surprising audiences.
Role Overview
The VP of Finance is a senior leadership position with direct ownership of the company’s financial operations. Reporting to the CFO and COO, this person acts as the link between day-to-day finance and executive strategy, helping leadership make well-supported business decisions.
The role partners closely with the executive steering committee and contributes to board reporting, capital planning, and cross-functional financial strategy. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical ability with practical execution and is equally capable of creating detailed models and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
Compensation and Location
Location: Los Angeles, CA; Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; London, UK
Compensation: $160,000 to $180,000 base salary, plus a discretionary bonus
Reporting to: CFO and COO
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning across a business spanning multiple entities and markets.
- Own financial models for current venues in Las Vegas and London, the planned New York launch, and new development projects.
- Create scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Develop KPI frameworks that give leaders timely insight into performance.
Reporting and Finance Systems
- Design and maintain management reporting tools that provide accurate and timely financial information to leadership.
- Coordinate the monthly close with accounting teams and help ensure financial statements remain accurate across all entities.
- Prepare reporting packages for the executive steering committee and board.
- Improve financial controls, workflows, and systems so they can support scale.
Board and Executive Partnership
- Prepare board-level materials such as financial presentations, investment memos, and performance updates.
- Support decisions on capital structure, including debt financing, investor reporting, and fundraising work.
- Work with the CFO and COO on strategic initiatives, deal evaluation, and growth planning.
- Provide clear, decision-ready financial input in executive steering committee discussions.
Content, Deal, and Multi-Sector Finance
- Assist with financial analysis and structuring across live events, content, distribution, and licensing.
- Review strategic partnerships, licensing deals, and new market opportunities from both financial and commercial angles.
- Support negotiations and financial diligence for new business initiatives and IP expansion.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of increasing finance responsibility, preferably including FP&A, strategic finance, and reporting to executives or boards.
- Background in media, entertainment, content, or live events.
- Advanced financial modeling ability and comfort working with complex, multi-entity profit and loss structures.
- Experience creating and maintaining financial reporting systems rather than only using existing ones.
- Direct involvement in board materials and/or investor communications.
- Ability to explain complex financial topics in a clear and concise way for senior leaders.
- Strong ownership mindset, analytical discipline, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with limited resources.
- Preferred: experience in live events, touring, or experiential entertainment.
- Preferred: familiarity with multiple revenue and content areas such as film, TV, music, merchandise, production, or licensing.
- Preferred: experience across both corporate finance and content/deal strategy.
- Preferred: prior work at a growth-stage company expanding from one market to several.
- Preferred: exposure to cap table management, fundraising, or investor-backed governance structures.
