Job description
About the Role
Forrester is seeking an Executive Partner to serve as a trusted advisor for technology executive clients in its executive program. In this position, you will build strong relationships with senior leaders and their teams, understand each client’s business context and ambitions, and offer direct, practical guidance to help them make high-stakes decisions. You will also connect clients to Forrester’s broader capabilities across research, consulting, and events in a way that is timely and tailored to their needs.
The role is designed to support senior technology executives in shaping customer-centric, high-performing IT strategies that help their organizations respond to change, remain resilient, and unlock innovation across the workforce.
Beyond client work, you will contribute to Forrester’s research and sales operations. As part of the research organization, you will help identify research themes, connect researchers with forward-looking clients, and participate in research interviews. Working alongside sales, you will communicate Forrester’s value, help uncover consulting opportunities, and contribute to executive program revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive program clients by applying Forrester research and your own experience as a practitioner.
- Maintain and manage relationships with approximately 15 to 20 senior clients.
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to strengthen account engagement and retention.
- Build delivery plans grounded in Forrester frameworks, decision tools, and research assets.
- Bring customer perspectives back into the research process to support content development.
- Support business development by helping sales progress and grow existing opportunities.
- Represent Forrester as a thought leader through social media activity and external speaking engagements.
Requirements
- Background in technology leadership as a CIO, CTO, CDO, or other senior technology executive, or experience as a senior consultant advising such leaders.
- Deep familiarity with the IT industry and the responsibilities of the CIO, including digital transformation, executive leadership, change management, cybersecurity, business model innovation, automation, intelligent systems, digital strategy, and use of metrics.
- Strong understanding of how IT creates business value and how business and technology strategies should align.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to build credibility with C-suite leaders across different communication channels.
- Well-developed collaboration, partnership, and influencing abilities.
- Ability to reflect Forrester’s values of client focus, collaboration, courage, integrity, and quality.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
