Job description
About the Role
B&H Creators is hiring a fast-moving, highly capable video editor with a strong focus on social-first storytelling and podcast production. The position is centered on helping expand a creator community through high-volume content that performs well across short-form platforms and longer podcast formats.
The ideal candidate understands how to keep audiences engaged, how to edit for platform-specific behavior, and how to translate raw footage into polished assets that strengthen reach, engagement, and brand presence. In addition to post-production work, this person should be comfortable supporting live events, production logistics, and on-site creative operations.
Core Editing and Content Duties
You will edit content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging short-form channels. You will also cut full podcast episodes and interview-style videos, handling multi-camera sequences, pacing, audio cleanup, branded visual treatment, and promotional outputs.
The role includes producing teasers, cutdowns, trailers, and channel-specific versions from podcast and event material. You will be expected to shape strong hooks, maintain momentum, and use captions, motion graphics, subtitles, and sound design to improve retention and shareability. Managing large collections of footage from creator shoots, interviews, and events will also be part of the job.
Event and On-Site Support
Beyond editing, you will assist with creator events by helping with basic production setup, staging support, equipment preparation, signage placement, and content-capture logistics. You may also support live execution through troubleshooting, quick problem-solving, and hands-on production help during events.
Capturing behind-the-scenes moments, creator interactions, and social-ready event assets may be required as needed. The work environment can be fast-paced and live, so adaptability, teamwork, and responsiveness are important.
Creative Strategy and Workflow
You will collaborate with the broader team on content concepts, recurring series, and campaign execution. Staying current with social trends, editing styles, platform changes, and best practices will be essential.
The position also involves finding ways to turn a single shoot into multiple deliverables and contributing to the ongoing development of B&H Creators’ visual style and content direction.
Operational Responsibilities
Post-production work must be managed within quick turnaround timelines. You will be responsible for keeping project files, templates, and asset libraries organized and accessible.
This role requires coordination across social, marketing, events, sponsor, and creator-partner teams. Regular travel throughout the year is expected in support of events, activations, and creator experiences.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have at least 3 years of professional video editing experience, with a strong emphasis on social media or podcast content. Advanced expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro is required.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and audio cleanup processes is needed. Candidates should have a proven record of editing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and similar social-first formats, along with a solid understanding of pacing, story structure, and audience retention.
Experience editing multi-camera podcast or interview content is required, as is the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining quality. Good organization, clear communication, and comfort supporting physical event production and live content environments are also necessary. A portfolio showing both short-form and long-form/podcast work is expected.
Preferred Experience
Background in the creator economy, media, events, or entertainment is a plus. Familiarity with cameras, creator gear, and production equipment sold by B&H is considered a major advantage.
Additional helpful experience includes YouTube optimization, thumbnail planning, social analytics, live events, experiential marketing, production buildouts, and having a driver’s license with the ability to travel regularly.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The team is looking for someone who instinctively understands what stops people from scrolling, cares deeply about pacing and storytelling, and is comfortable working both in the edit suite and at live events. The right person will be fast, flexible, resourceful, highly collaborative, and able to balance creative output with operational execution.
A strong interest in creators, content, and the future of digital media is a key fit for this role.
