Job description

Role overview

This is a remote contract opportunity for a Video Editor based in Canada. The assignment pays between $40 and $80 per hour and is structured around a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours.

What you will do

  • Assess animations and visual effects deliverables, then refine them so they can be used to train an AI model.
  • Keep project folders, media assets, labels, and documentation well organized to support dataset preparation.
  • Review AI-produced outputs, apply feedback, and help maintain the required quality level.
  • Create scoring rubrics and evaluation methods for benchmarking AI systems using video material.
  • Use subject-matter knowledge to spot model gaps and suggest improvements that can strengthen performance.
  • Work with teams across functions and share practical feedback that supports AI development.

Requirements

  • You should have strong hands-on experience in video editing and post-production, including audio work and visual storytelling.
  • Background in animation and visual effects for digital or educational media is required.
  • You need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • You must be comfortable receiving feedback and turning it into revised work.
  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is mandatory, along with substantial experience in video or visual media production.
  • Prior success in remote, team-based work environments is expected.
