The company is also expanding into live newscasts, job listings, and promotional offers to deepen audience engagement.

Role Overview

This opening is for a part-time hybrid Video Content Producer based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. There is a possibility of moving into a full-time role after 90 days. The position involves managing the full video production workflow, from planning and content creation to live streaming and post-production editing across multiple platforms. You will help shape content strategy, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, maintain production schedules, and ensure timely delivery of polished, engaging video content that reflects the energy and diversity of New York City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete video production cycle, including planning, creation, streaming, and editing.
  • Develop and carry out content strategies for video and digital channels.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to keep production efforts aligned and moving efficiently.
  • Manage video schedules and help ensure deadlines are met consistently.
  • Update and maintain platform content so it stays current and relevant.
  • Create content that reflects CHANNEL NYC’s mission of showcasing the city’s diversity and vibrancy.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, especially those fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, or Hindi.
  • Excellent communication abilities and the confidence to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience with web content writing, content strategy, and writing for video or digital media.
  • Background in content management, including organizing and supervising multimedia assets.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Familiarity with video editing software and live-streaming best practices is preferred.
  • Knowledge of New York City culture, local news, and community services is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Production, or a related discipline.

Additional Information

The role is initially part-time and hybrid, with the potential to become full-time after 90 days of employment.
