Role Overview
This contract position is for a remote video annotation specialist who will work on short-form clips and help label recurring events with high precision. The work is open to applicants based in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Compensation and Commitment
The pay range for this assignment is $65 to $80 per hour. The expected workload is flexible, ranging from 10 to 40 hours each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect repeating events in short video segments and segment them according to the project’s instructions.
- Record accurate start and end times for every event you identify.
- Write short, clear, and consistent descriptions for each labeled event.
- Submit annotations that consistently meet quality and accuracy expectations.
- Coordinate through written and spoken communication to resolve questions and clarify guidelines.
- Self-review your work and update annotations as project directions change.
Requirements
- Excellent English proficiency at a native or near-native level, in both writing and speaking.
- Prior experience in video annotation, content moderation, writing, video editing, videography, or a similar field.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail in data labeling tasks.
- Ability to work with detailed instructions and adjust quickly based on feedback.
- Experience with AI training or machine learning data annotation is considered an advantage.
