Role summary

The Vice President, Project Management is a senior executive role that will create and run the company’s enterprise-wide project management structure, strategic execution efforts, and cross-functional program delivery. Reporting to the CEO and COO, this leader will oversee governance, execution discipline, operational coordination, and organizational effectiveness across product development, trading technology, infrastructure work, and major business initiatives.

This position is responsible for turning corporate goals into clear execution plans, scalable processes, and measurable outcomes. The role is especially important as the business continues to expand in cryptocurrency derivatives and financial technology markets.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience across project management, fintech operations, capital markets, or digital asset environments, with a strong record of leading complex initiatives, aligning diverse teams, and delivering results in fast-moving global settings.

Key responsibilities

Build and lead the company’s project management framework, governance standards, and execution methods.

Convert strategic priorities into organized programs with clear deliverables, milestones, and accountability.

Direct end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives across technology, trading operations, product development, and business functions.

Make sure executive priorities stay aligned with project outcomes.

Manage large cross-functional programs involving product, engineering, quantitative research, trading, compliance, and business teams.

Apply established project delivery approaches, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid models.

Track timelines, resource use, budgets, dependencies, and risks across programs.

Maintain strong delivery quality, operational efficiency, and successful execution of strategic work.

Act as the main coordination link between executive leadership and operational teams.

Support communication and collaboration across departments and international stakeholders.

Align the organization around strategic priorities.

Support cross-border initiatives and global implementation efforts.

Identify opportunities to improve project speed, workflow efficiency, and overall productivity.

Create scalable operational processes and project management tools.

Introduce automation and technology solutions that improve transparency and execution performance.

Encourage continuous improvement across the organization.

Ensure projects follow regulatory requirements, governance expectations, and internal controls.

Work with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Security teams to address project-related risks.

Identify, evaluate, and reduce operational, technology, and market-related risks.

Maintain strong reporting and oversight across strategic programs.

Set up project KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting systems.

Give executive leadership clear visibility into progress, risks, resource usage, and outcomes.

Use analytics and operational data to improve decisions and project results.

Make sure project outcomes support broader business goals and value creation.

Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing project management team.

Promote accountability, collaboration, innovation, and delivery excellence.

Develop project management capability, future talent pipelines, and leadership succession plans.

Strengthen relationships across functions throughout the company.

Qualifications

Candidates should have 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in project management, program management, operations, or strategic execution within financial services, fintech, capital markets, technology, or digital asset sectors.

The role calls for a proven track record of handling large, cross-functional programs in fast-paced and highly regulated environments.

A solid understanding of cryptocurrency markets, derivatives trading, financial technology platforms, and operating infrastructure is required.

Experience working closely with executive leadership, technology teams, and business stakeholders is essential.

Strong command of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and enterprise project management methodologies is expected.

Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities are required.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required. An MBA, PMP, PgMP, or another advanced degree is preferred.
