Role overview

This is a full-time remote leadership position responsible for steering complex projects and programs across Swissquote LLC. The role owns project portfolios from the earliest planning stage through final delivery, ensuring scope, goals, schedules, and budgets stay aligned with overall business priorities. It also involves leading project managers and cross-functional teams, establishing project governance standards, and making sure best-practice methods and tools are applied consistently.

Key responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, the role includes tracking project health, handling risks and issues, preparing reports for senior executives, and keeping stakeholders informed and engaged. The Vice President, Project Management will work closely with leadership to rank initiatives, improve how resources are allocated, and strengthen project execution and delivery outcomes over time.

Qualifications

Applicants should bring strong project management capability, including setting scope, managing timelines, and coordinating cross-functional delivery. Experience in program management is important, particularly for handling multiple connected projects and linking them to strategic goals. The role also calls for solid budgeting and financial oversight, with the ability to control costs and evaluate return on investment.

Advanced analytical ability is needed for data-based decisions, forecasting, risk evaluation, and performance tracking. Candidates should have experience in project planning, including resource planning, roadmap creation, and dependency management. Leadership experience is essential, especially in guiding project teams, mentoring project managers, and influencing senior stakeholders.

Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills are required for success in a remote, distributed environment. Experience in financial services, fintech, or another technology-driven business is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related subject is required, while a master’s degree or certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or Agile are considered a strong advantage.
