Hillhouse Capital is an investor, but it does not take part in the company’s everyday management or decision-making. The business focuses on crypto trading strategies, as well as educational content and deeper market intelligence related to cryptocurrency. This opportunity is for an experienced senior leader who can operate effectively in a fast-moving, performance-driven setting.

Role summary

The Vice President of Operations will shape the company’s operating model, lead execution across functions, and improve organizational efficiency as the business scales. Because the company is still early in its journey, this position goes beyond routine operations and includes building the operational base, systems, and organizational structure from the ground up.

What you will do

  • Set the overall operations strategy and create the execution framework for the business.
  • Develop scalable systems end to end, including workflows, processes, and supporting tools.
  • Make sure the operational setup can sustain future growth and scale.
  • Align work across product, engineering, marketing, and business teams.
  • Create clear governance and decision-making processes for smooth execution.
  • Lead strategic initiatives across the company and ensure they are delivered successfully.
  • Support growth objectives such as user expansion, conversion improvement, and revenue efficiency.
  • Build and refine KPI and OKR systems to track performance effectively.
  • Find operational bottlenecks and implement improvements at a structural level.
  • Set up and manage the core operations team and leadership structure.
  • Create performance management and talent development frameworks.
  • Improve overall organizational efficiency and execution strength.
  • Identify business and operational risks and put mitigation plans in place.
  • Maintain compliance, stability, and scalable operating practices.
  • Improve cost control and resource allocation efficiency.
  • Contribute to company-wide planning and business design.
  • Provide analytical recommendations and executive support to the CEO and leadership team.
  • Help shape the business model and expansion strategy.

Required profile

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 8 to 12+ years of experience in operations, strategy, business management, or similar leadership functions.
  • At least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing teams, departments, or cross-functional organizations.
  • Strong ability to think strategically and design complex operating systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to influence across multiple functions.
  • High ownership, strong execution focus, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent analytical judgment and decision-making based on data.
  • Strong communication skills and experience managing executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in internet, fintech, trading systems, or crypto-related businesses is preferred.
  • Background in early-stage startups or high-growth companies is preferred.
  • Proven experience building operations structures or systems from zero to one is preferred.
  • Understanding of growth models, commercialization systems, or global operations is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills and experience working with international teams are preferred.
  • Experience working closely with C-level leaders or board-level stakeholders is a plus.
  • Experience leading large organizational changes or operational restructuring is a plus.
  • Commercial awareness, especially around revenue, growth, or monetization strategy, is a plus.
