About the Company

Filevine is a legal AI platform built to help legal teams work with greater clarity and control. Its unified system connects data, documents, workflows, and teams so legal operations can run from a single source of truth. The company’s Legal Operating Intelligence System, LOIS, interprets context across matters to uncover insight, simplify complexity, and support more proactive legal work. Filevine has been recognized for rapid growth and innovation by Deloitte and Inc.

Role Overview

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales and is responsible for leading a team of Directors who manage Account Executives focused on new customer acquisition and revenue expansion. The role calls for a leader with a strong record of surpassing revenue goals and building successful sales organizations.

The VP of Sales will set strategy for net-new revenue growth, strengthen pipeline discipline, and help standardize sales processes to support consistent business outcomes. This leader will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, CFL, and Finance to improve execution, refine go-to-market motions, and keep the sales organization operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a sales plan designed to deliver ambitious net-new revenue growth from mid-market and enterprise accounts.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Account Executives and support ongoing growth within the team.
  • Design and improve sales methodologies, operating rhythms, and enablement programs that raise productivity and conversion rates.
  • Set territories, quotas, compensation structures, and performance measures that encourage the right selling behaviors and customer acquisition outcomes.
  • Run regular pipeline inspections, coach Account Executives, and guide opportunities through the sales cycle to hit revenue targets.
  • Work with Marketing to coordinate demand generation and campaigns with sales priorities, while contributing to customer profile, messaging, and positioning decisions.
  • Monitor core metrics such as new revenue growth, average deal value, sales velocity, win rate, and acquisition cost, then report progress and close performance gaps.
  • Develop relationships with customers and industry voices to reinforce brand strength and expand pipeline opportunities.
  • Keep current on sales tools, technologies, and process improvements that can increase team effectiveness.
  • Support sales planning activities, including updates to quotas, staffing levels, and the overall sales plan.
  • Provide analytical guidance to leadership to improve strategy, coverage models, and team structure for better sales efficiency.
  • Maintain dashboards and performance tracking systems that help the sales team stay focused on key business drivers.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of sales leadership experience, preferably in a high-tech or SaaS environment selling to mid-market and enterprise buyers.
  • A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding net-new revenue goals.
  • Strong ability to coach, lead, and develop people, with experience building top-performing sales teams.
  • A metrics-first mindset, using data and analytics to improve sales results.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including comfort leading strategic discussions with senior executives.
  • Working knowledge of sales performance improvement and enablement best practices.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-moving, evolving business environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $200,000. The final compensation package will depend on location, qualifications, education, work history, skills, and performance. This range is only one part of the company’s overall pay approach, which emphasizes pay equity. The role also includes paid time off and access to a comprehensive benefits package.

Benefits for full-time employees include medical, dental, and vision insurance, maternity and paternity leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, the chance to learn from a dedicated leadership team, and company swag. Filevine also describes itself as a dynamic and rapidly growing organization focused on helping others succeed.
