Role Summary
The Vice President of Projects will oversee the renewable energy project portfolio and ensure it stays aligned with Acciona Energia’s overall strategy. This person will manage the complete project lifecycle, from early concept and feasibility through execution and operations, while protecting timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The role also involves leading multidisciplinary teams and external partners, handling project risks, approvals, and governance across different geographies. In addition, the position will work closely with finance, legal, engineering, and operations teams to support investment decisions and help prioritize initiatives.
This is a full-time remote role with regular collaboration with international teams.
Qualifications
- Proven background in managing complex project portfolios, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or closely related sectors.
- University degree in engineering, business administration, economics, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or MBA in project management or business is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project management methods, risk management, financial planning, and cost control.
- Strategic leadership capability, with experience guiding cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at different levels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills in fast-moving, multicultural environments.
- Advanced English is highly desirable, along with prior experience in global organizations or international settings.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work remotely with a high degree of autonomy, strong organization, and a results-driven mindset.
