Job description
About the Role
Pool Centurion is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Vice President of Human Resources to spearhead and enhance the people operations for a rapidly expanding, multi-location field services organization. This senior HR leadership position, reporting directly to executive leadership, is tasked with establishing robust and scalable HR practices, cultivating frontline leadership capabilities, improving workforce stability, and supporting ongoing business expansion. This is a unique opportunity to blend strategic leadership with practical, on-the-ground execution in a business heavily reliant on its field-based teams.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of supporting an hourly workforce, frontline supervisors, and dispersed operational teams. A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with operations leadership to ensure consistency, foster accountability, boost employee engagement, optimize recruitment, develop managers, and manage workforce planning across numerous locations.
This position is crucial for strengthening the company culture, enhancing employee retention, elevating leadership effectiveness, and creating a unified employee experience throughout the organization. Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable given the diverse nature of the workforce.
Who Thrives Here
This role is ideal for HR leaders experienced in managing large hourly workforces within operational settings. We are particularly interested in candidates from industries such as Home Services, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Services, Landscaping, Pest Control, Construction, Transportation and Logistics, Manufacturing, Distribution and Warehousing, Facilities Services, and Multi-Site Operations. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in high-volume recruiting, frontline workforce management, employee relations for hourly staff, workers' compensation and safety programs, wage and hour compliance, managing multi-location operations, and retaining/engaging frontline employees, especially within bilingual and multicultural environments. Experience leading through change in fast-paced settings is also essential. Candidates whose experience is primarily in corporate, tech, finance, consulting, or other predominantly white-collar sectors may lack the necessary operational background for this role.
