Job Overview
The Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) will lead all international human resources functions for a dynamic logistics and transportation company. This executive role is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support operational excellence, workforce scalability, and long-term business growth. The VP of HR will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, training, and culture initiatives across all company locations. This position requires a forward-thinking leader capable of balancing strategic vision with execution in a fast-paced, people-driven environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategies with company objectives, operational performance, and growth targets.
- Provide expert advice on organizational structure, workforce planning, and succession development.
- Lead recruiting efforts to attract top talent for operations, logistics, and corporate roles.
- Develop and implement employer branding initiatives to ensure a consistent and positive hiring experience.
- Implement programs focused on employee engagement, feedback, and recognition to drive retention.
- Foster a company culture characterized by accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including DOT, OSHA, FMLA, and ADA.
- Offer guidance and support for employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Design and manage competitive compensation, incentive, and benefits packages to attract and retain talent.
- Develop and deliver leadership and professional development programs for both drivers and office personnel.
- Collaborate with internal departments to create safety, compliance, and performance training tailored to transportation industry standards.
- Promote internal career advancement and mobility opportunities.

- Oversee payroll, HRIS, and policy administration for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive capacity.
- Prior experience in the logistics, transportation, distribution, or manufacturing sectors is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices across various jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experience managing international HR teams.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, with a preference for ADP.
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $150,000 - $250,000, based on experience, qualifications, and fit.
