Role Overview
Kelvion is seeking a Vice President of Application Management to shape and steer its global application environment. The position is responsible for setting direction, strengthening governance, and improving the performance of business-critical systems across the organisation. It places a strong emphasis on digital transformation, operational excellence, and coordination of international teams and external partners.
This role can be based in Germany, Poland, or the USA, with up to 50% remote working.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the direction for the enterprise application portfolio and own the long-term roadmap.
- Oversee application operations, support activities, enhancements, and lifecycle control.
- Maintain the reliability, performance, security, and uptime of core business platforms.
- Convert business needs into technology solutions that can scale effectively.
- Lead transformation efforts including platform renewal and workflow improvement.
- Coordinate internal teams, application owners, and outside service vendors.
- Create and track KPIs, SLAs, and other measures of service quality.
- Manage budgets, supplier relationships, and compliance obligations.
- Improve capabilities in data handling, reporting, and analytics.
- Build a strong, cooperative, and customer-oriented team culture.
Candidate Profile
- A relevant academic qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- More than 10 years of leadership experience in managing global enterprise application environments.
- Solid background in vendor management, stakeholder coordination, and service delivery oversight.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, ECC6, SuccessFactors, Power BI, SAP Analytics, and system integrations.
- A strategic, outcome-focused approach with strong communication, decision-making, and change leadership skills.
- Excellent English fluency; additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required.
