The company provides regional commercial construction and renovation services, along with nationwide facility maintenance coverage available 24/7/365.
Role overview
The company is looking for a proactive professional to join its Vendor Management team as a Vendor Sourcing Coordinator. This role supports clients nationwide by identifying, contacting, and securing vendors, tradespeople, and contractors quickly and efficiently.
The position is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-moving, phone-driven work, can stay organized under pressure, and is comfortable balancing urgency with construction compliance needs.
Work location and employment details
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role paid at $25.00 per hour and eligible for overtime. The job is based onsite at 5900 Harris Technology Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28269, and it is not a remote/work-from-home position.
Key responsibilities
- Source vendors and subcontractors in real time through a high volume of outbound calls, confirming availability, skills, and turnaround times for urgent assignments.
- Develop and keep strong vendor pipelines through regular outreach and relationship-building to prepare for future projects.
- Match the most suitable vendor to each job by using clear communication and practical problem-solving to keep work progressing.
- Support administrative follow-up by reinforcing email requests with phone calls so vendors understand and complete required paperwork.
- Track responsiveness and compliance, following up actively to obtain timely updates and mandatory submissions.
- Maintain consistent documentation quality and help close communication gaps between vendors and internal teams.
Skills and requirements
- Confident verbal communication with a direct, persistent phone manner.
- Comfort working in a call-heavy environment and handling rejection professionally.
- Ability to think through problems and adjust quickly to changing needs.
- Strong organization and close attention to detail.
- Capability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities across teams.
- Working knowledge of MS Suite tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
- Prior experience in high-volume phone roles such as load coordination, dispatch, freight brokerage, recruiting, or outbound sales is preferred.
- Background in construction, facilities maintenance, or contractor sourcing is preferred.
- Familiarity with compliance items such as COI, W9, and licensing is preferred.
- Experience with CRM platforms, dispatch tools, or vendor management systems is preferred.
