Vehicle Service Agent

Role Overview

SIXT is hiring a Vehicle Service Attendant to support the day-to-day readiness of the rental fleet at the Downtown Vancouver branch. The position focuses on thorough interior and exterior vehicle cleaning, fueling, driving vehicles to and from designated locations, and completing other tasks assigned by the Branch Manager. The work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. This opportunity offers an hourly wage of $22 and room for growth and development.

What You Will Do

• Prepare vehicles to SIXT standards by cleaning and vacuuming the cabin.
• Wash the outside of vehicles, including smaller cars as well as larger models such as minivans and SUVs.
• Review fuel levels and warning indicators, inspect windshields for damage, reset vehicle systems to remove previous customer data, check for belongings and route any valuables to Lost & Found, and confirm that registration is present, current, and matches the licence plate.
• Inspect fluids, add them when needed, assess tyres for condition, pressure, and tread depth, and check the exterior for any damage.
• Fuel vehicles and position them for readiness.
• Identify safety concerns, report warning lights and any vehicle, windshield, or tyre damage, and remove vehicles from prep processing when required.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, and escalate any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Support customers when needed, including possible transport between branch locations.
• Help keep the branch presentable by cleaning interior and exterior common areas.
• Handle site-cleanliness tasks such as wiping desks and counters, answering phones, cleaning floors and bathrooms, emptying trash, sweeping the lot, vacuuming, and other routine upkeep duties.
• Maintain dependable attendance and arrive on time consistently.

Candidate Profile

• You should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in vehicle service or a similar role. Background in car rental, automotive maintenance, or dealership operations is an advantage.
• Strong verbal communication skills are important for working effectively with customers, teammates, and managers.
• You need a keen eye for detail to spot damage, verify fuel levels, and record findings accurately while protecting fleet quality and safety.
• You must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid provincial driver’s licence with a clean driving record, and be legally authorized to work in Canada without current or future sponsorship.
• You should be able to work 40 hours per week, including day or evening shifts, and feel comfortable working outdoors in changing weather while moving in and out of vehicles throughout the day.
