Vaccination Consultant

Role overview

This position is for a vaccination and immunization specialist who will act as the subject matter expert for public health initiatives. The consultant will guide vaccination strategy, support program delivery, ensure regulatory alignment, coordinate with key stakeholders, and contribute to awareness efforts that strengthen public health outcomes.

What you will do

• Create and refine vaccination strategies, implementation frameworks, and action plans that support public health and project goals.
• Assist in planning and delivering immunization campaigns and vaccination initiatives.
• Spot opportunities to increase vaccine coverage and improve program impact.
• Advise teams on vaccination policies, clinical guidelines, and recognized best practices.
• Help ensure adherence to health regulations, official requirements, and international standards related to immunization.
• Support project teams in understanding and applying vaccination-related regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with healthcare providers, public health bodies, government agencies, and other project stakeholders.
• Coordinate between healthcare organizations and internal teams to keep vaccination programs running smoothly.
• Represent the organization as the vaccination expert in meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Track vaccine coverage, uptake, and other performance indicators.
• Review immunization data and prepare reports, dashboards, and practical recommendations for stakeholders.
• Identify patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities from program data.
• Contribute to public health education and awareness initiatives focused on vaccination and immunization.
• Support communication efforts designed to improve public understanding and vaccine confidence.
• Provide technical input for awareness campaigns, training resources, and educational materials.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, Healthcare Administration, Immunology, or a closely related field is required.
• A master’s degree or a relevant specialization is preferred.
• Medical Doctor (MD) qualification is considered an advantage.
• At least 8 years of experience in public health, immunization programs, vaccination initiatives, or a related healthcare environment is required.
• Prior work with government entities, healthcare organizations, or large-scale public health projects is needed.
• Experience on GCC or regional projects is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated background in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on vaccination programs is expected.

Knowledge, skills, and certifications

• Solid understanding of vaccination programs, immunization practices, and public health frameworks.
• Working knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance obligations, and vaccination policy requirements.
• Ability to interpret health data and turn findings into useful recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Well-developed report writing, presentation, and project coordination skills.
• Comfort working with multidisciplinary teams and government stakeholders.
• Public health certifications or credentials related to immunization, epidemiology, or healthcare management are preferred.
• Certifications from recognized public health or healthcare institutions will be viewed favorably.

Location

This role is based in Doha, Qatar and is intended to be performed onsite.
