Role overview
Montage International is looking for a Uniform Attendant to help maintain a polished and professional look for associates by making sure uniforms are clean, organized, and properly fitted. The company emphasizes a culture built around passion, purpose, and doing work you enjoy.
Key duties
- Issue and collect associate uniforms while keeping uniform and linen stock levels balanced and recorded.
- Receive, sort, and carefully verify the condition of linens and uniforms, documenting all items coming in and going out of laundry before they are sorted and distributed.
- Label and assign new uniforms when required.
- Inspect cleaned garments to confirm they are sanitary and suitable for use, and add identifying labels or marks as needed.
- Work with a seamstress to arrange repairs on existing uniforms and ensure new uniforms are altered for proper fit.
- Use the necessary equipment to sort and wash soiled uniforms.
- Record, scan, and hang associate clothing and uniforms in the conveyor system.
- Keep the work area neat, orderly, and clean at all times.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. At least 1 year of laundry experience is also preferred.
Work conditions and physical demands
This role is primarily performed indoors in a temperature-controlled hotel environment. It requires standing and moving with steady pace for up to 4 hours at a time. The job also involves regular lifting of up to 40 lbs and pushing or pulling carts and equipment weighing as much as 250 lbs.
