As an AI Data Trainer focused on Linux/Ubuntu, you will support remote data-training work on an hourly paid contractor basis. The work involves structured tasks, installing applications, recording your steps, and staying attentive throughout detail-focused assignments.

You should have your own Ubuntu/Linux computer and be willing to install any tools or apps required for the project. A strong technical background is not mandatory, but you should be dependable, comfortable with technology, careful with instructions, and able to work without close supervision.

This is a fully remote contractor position with SME Careers, an AI data services company and a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate. The work contributes directly to the training and improvement of AI systems used in products and industries worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Carefully follow written instructions and apply them exactly as provided.
• Set up and use the required applications on an Ubuntu/Linux machine.
• Review your output for errors before handing it in.
• Spot unclear instructions, mismatches, or technical problems when they occur.
• Stay focused while completing repetitive or detail-heavy assignments.
• Finish the tasks assigned to you within the agreed weekly time commitment.
• Communicate clearly with the project team whenever help is required.
• Help improve the quality of data used to train AI models.

Requirements

• Access to a personal computer running Ubuntu/Linux.
• Comfortable installing needed apps, tools, and project software.
• Ability to follow setup steps independently.
• Availability for around 15 hours per week.
• Patience, concentration, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written directions consistently and accurately.
• Comfort with structured and sometimes repetitive tasks.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with browser-based tools.
• Reliable, responsive, and able to meet deadlines.
• Students and junior applicants are welcome.
• Experience in AI data training, annotation, QA, software testing, or research is useful but not essential.
