Job description

Role overview

An expanding transport and engineering consultancy is looking for a Travel Plan Coordinator to help deliver sustainable travel solutions for residential, workplace, and education schemes. The position is based in the Norwich area, with Colchester also being considered, and follows a hybrid working pattern.

This opportunity would suit someone with background experience in travel planning, sustainable transport, marketing, or community engagement who is motivated by encouraging active and environmentally friendly travel choices.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the delivery and ongoing tracking of travel plans across multiple development projects.
  • Prepare reports, review survey results, and assess project outcomes.
  • Create and run campaigns that encourage walking, cycling, public transport use, and electric vehicle adoption.
  • Assist with engagement activities involving clients, local authorities, and community groups.
  • Arrange site visits, audits, and promotional events as part of project delivery.
  • Oversee work to ensure projects stay within agreed timelines and budgets.

Requirements

  • A relevant qualification, or equivalent practical experience, in transport, planning, geography, environmental studies, marketing, or a related area.
  • Prior experience in travel planning, sustainable transport, behaviour change, or similar project-based work.
  • Strong ability to write clearly and produce professional reports.
  • Good analytical thinking and solid organisational skills.
  • Strong interest in active travel and sustainability.
  • Valid full UK driving licence.

Desirable experience

  • Experience using WordPress.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience with TRICS.
