Role overview
We are hiring a Transportation Specialist for a contract assignment supporting a major, high-visibility project in Saudi Arabia. The position is site-based and demands strong transport planning, live coordination, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
Contract details
This is a fixed-term contract running from 15 August 2026 to 10 February 2027. The role is open for assignment in either Jeddah or Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Key responsibilities
- Organize and supervise day-to-day transport movements for staff, equipment, and materials.
- Create routing plans, shift schedules, and deployment arrangements for transport resources.
- Liaise with fleet vendors, drivers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Track vehicle usage, movement status, and overall transport efficiency.
- Handle transport requests, dispatch coordination, and backup planning for disruptions.
- Maintain adherence to safety rules, road laws, and project operating procedures.
- Resolve field issues, delays, and sudden operational changes as they arise.
- Compile updates and reports on transport performance and resource consumption.
Requirements
- Saudi nationality is mandatory.
- A bachelor’s qualification in Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
- Prior experience in transport coordination, fleet management, or logistics operations is expected.
- Ability to plan effectively and solve problems in demanding, high-pressure situations.
- Background in supervising drivers, vehicles, and dispatch workflows.
- Exposure to tracking tools, scheduling platforms, or transport management systems is beneficial.
- Experience in Saudi Arabia or across the GCC is preferred.
- Strong command of both Arabic and English is required.
