Job Location and Working Hours

Position based in 28195 Bremen with standard office hours from Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

Role Objective

The Transportation Coordinator oversees the planning, management, and monitoring of European road transports (both Full Truck Load and Less than Truck Load). The role ensures transportation processes operate smoothly, timely, and cost-effectively while complying with legal requirements, internal standards, and agreed service levels and KPIs. Additionally, this position contributes to optimizing workflows, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and fostering effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate national and international road transport operations (FTL/LTL).
  • Manage last-minute changes, special transports, and time-sensitive shipments.
  • Maintain transport data and prepare relevant transportation documentation.
  • Support customs clearance procedures and invoice verification.
  • Monitor transport service providers for quality and cost efficiency.
  • Serve as a contact point for clients, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Handle complaints and damage claims.
  • Generate reports and assist in process optimization efforts.
  • Contribute towards achieving team goals and KPIs.

Requirements

  • Completed commercial training, preferably in forwarding, logistics, or transport management.
  • Some professional experience in transport or forwarding is advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge of transport and logistics operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) and IT systems.
  • Fluent in German and good command of English.
  • Organized, independent, and solution-focused work approach.
  • Strong customer and service orientation with excellent organizational skills.
  • Resilient and able to prioritize effectively under pressure.
