Job Description
We are seeking a Team Leader for our Wellington campus. This full-time, permanent position involves supporting the operational and academic success of the campus, focusing on student attendance, engagement, and achievement. Reporting to the Campus Manager, you will collaborate with Trainers to cultivate a positive and high-performing learning environment. Your role will include developing Trainer capabilities, enhancing performance, and maintaining high standards in teaching and student experience. You will lead by example, promoting a supportive culture aligned with our company values and contributing to both team and student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive academic achievements and support student success.
- Coach and manage Trainers to meet key performance indicators.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching across all programs.
- Supervise the daily educational operations of the campus.
- Cultivate a positive and high-performing team atmosphere.
- Uphold and embody company values in all actions.
About You
We are looking for an experienced people leader with a strong background in training or teaching and a passion for developing others. You should be motivated to innovate skills delivery to ensure students are well-prepared for industry success. A collaborative approach, high standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement in team performance and learner outcomes are essential.
Key Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing tutors, trainers, or educators.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within the Tourism and/or Aviation industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Experience in an educational or workplace training setting.
- Solid understanding of NZQA frameworks, academic delivery, and compliance regulations.
- A Certificate in Adult Teaching (Level 4 or higher) is highly advantageous.
