Job description
Company Overview
WIDDOP and Co. (Ireland) is a well-established giftware business known for original design, creative product development, and a wide assortment of affordable items that reflect current consumer tastes. Its range includes photo frames, figurines, clocks, stationery, and homeware for a broad retail audience. More than 90% of the collection is designed internally, and the company offers its own labels such as Amore and Bambino alongside licensed partnerships with brands including Disney, Warner Brothers, Paramount, and Hasbro. The business is also recognised for customer service excellence, having received multiple Greats awards. Retail support is delivered through showrooms in North Manchester, a dedicated sales team across the UK and Ireland, and an international network serving more than 60 countries.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, field-based position covering Southern Ireland. The Territory Manager will take ownership of sales activity across the region, work to expand the customer base, and nurture strong relationships with both existing and prospective retail accounts. The role represents the company’s brands and product lines in the market and requires regular customer visits, new collection presentations, promotion of offers, and collection of feedback from the field.
Key Responsibilities
The role calls for strong territory ownership, careful route and visit planning, and consistent monitoring of sales results across the account portfolio. You will work closely with internal sales, customer service, and marketing teams to help deliver and exceed targets. In addition, you will attend trade events, showroom activities, and internal sales meetings to stay aligned with product launches and market developments.
Skills and Experience
Applicants should bring a track record in sales operations and territory management, ideally with experience handling a defined geographic area and meeting commercial goals. Strong analytical and business-planning ability is needed to read sales performance, spot growth opportunities, and build effective territory plans. The role also requires excellent communication and customer service skills, along with a professional approach to relationship building across different retail clients.
Additional Requirements
Experience in field sales, account management, or a similar commercial role is preferred, particularly in giftware, homeware, FMCG, or related industries. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, managing schedules, and prioritising travel and customer activity to maximise coverage. A valid driving licence is required, along with the willingness to travel regularly throughout Ireland and make periodic trips to the Manchester showroom for meetings and events. Familiarity with CRM tools and basic Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook will help with pipeline management and reporting. Relevant industry experience is an advantage but not essential for a candidate with strong overall sales experience.
