Job description
Role overview
This on-site Technician position is based in Germany and focuses on keeping the property portfolio running smoothly by diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues. The role calls for strong judgment in deciding what needs attention first, an approach centered on lasting repairs and identifying the underlying cause of problems, and a clear appreciation of how technical issues affect guest satisfaction. It is also one of the few positions with direct guest interaction.
What you will do
- Handle technical and maintenance issues across the portfolio and close them out promptly.
- Decide what to tackle first by weighing location, urgency, and how the issue affects guests.
- Look beyond quick fixes by tracing problems to their root cause and preventing repeat failures.
- Recognize when a case is outside your scope and escalate it appropriately.
- Communicate with guests on-site when needed, while keeping their experience in mind.
- Work closely with the Property Management team to align priorities and share progress updates.
What we're looking for
- Practical technical experience in maintenance, repairs, or general trades.
- Strong ability to triage tasks and prioritize across multiple locations.
- A problem-solving approach that focuses on durable solutions rather than temporary patches.
- Comfortable speaking with guests in a professional, service-oriented manner.
- Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to organize and manage work independently on site.
- German language skills are required; basic English is an advantage.
- A valid driver's license is expected.
Benefits
- Work with visible impact rather than repetitive automated service.
- Access to generous token usage across leading AI tools, including Opus 4.6, GPT 5.4, and Gemini 3.1 Pro, as needed for productivity.
- A fast-moving environment with minimal unnecessary meetings and a preference for direct communication.
- Competitive compensation aligned with startup market benchmarks.
- A modern, centrally located office in Berlin, plus 25 days of paid leave, wellness/sport support, and additional perks.
