Role overview
This contract opportunity is with a Victorian State Government client in Melbourne and is focused on technical and business analysis for key school administration platforms. The assignment runs until April 2027 and follows a hybrid working model. The day rate is $700 plus superannuation.
About the work
The role supports the implementation, enhancement, integration, and ongoing maintenance of critical school administration systems used across the division. Key duties
- Build a solid understanding of the interconnected school systems environment and use that knowledge to carry out business analysis, technical analysis, solution design, process mapping, data analysis, and continuous process improvement.
- Review business and technical needs, then convert stakeholder expectations into clear functional and technical specifications that can be used to deliver solutions.
- Examine integration workflows, data movement, ETL activity, APIs, and system interfaces across legacy and cloud platforms, identifying problems and suggesting practical improvements.
- Provide analysis and implementation support for Salesforce, Mirror, eduMaster, VSR, eduHub, CASES21, Student Insight, and other linked enterprise applications.
- Assist with quality assurance activities, including SIT, UAT, production checks, test case preparation, defect tracking, and confirmation that business processes and data flows work end to end.
What you need to bring
- At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, technical analysis, or a closely related field, with a track record of producing analysis outputs for complex ICT projects.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and reporting platforms such as Power BI.
- Practical experience working with Salesforce.
- Proven background in system integrations that span legacy systems and modern cloud environments, including APIs, middleware, Salesforce, ETL, and enterprise integration tools.
- Sound knowledge of databases, data handling, and data integration methods.
- Current Working with Children accreditation for Children’s Services.
- A qualification in Business Analysis or Technical Analysis, such as CBAP or an equivalent credential, is desirable.
- Experience in Agile delivery settings is also desirable.
- Working knowledge of Student Information Systems or comparable enterprise applications would be an advantage.
