Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is a global pharmaceutical organization with operations in multiple countries and a workforce of more than 24,000 people. The company’s purpose is to improve access to affordable, innovative medicines, guided by the belief that good health cannot wait. Founded in 1984 with a small team and a modest beginning, it has grown into a major healthcare business with research and development centres, manufacturing sites, and commercial operations across 66 countries.

Over the past four decades, the organization has focused on access, affordability, innovation, strong science, people-focused practices, and sound governance. Its long-term vision is to continue strengthening its core business while building future-ready capabilities, with sustainability placed at the centre of strategy and decision-making. Sustainability here includes responsible use of resources, respect for people and the environment, support for patients and communities, and maintaining transparency and integrity.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and maintains a workplace free from discrimination. It welcomes and supports a diverse workforce without regard to protected characteristics under applicable law.

Role Summary

This position is responsible for carrying out bottle packing activities for potent oral solid dosage products in a safe, accurate, and compliant manner. The role demands adherence to cGMP, containment standards, quality requirements, and EHS procedures while ensuring proper packing, documentation, and personal safety.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will operate bottle packing lines for potent products according to approved batch production records and SOPs. Day-to-day tasks include bottle feeding, tablet filling, cotton insertion, capping, sealing, labeling, and final packing.

You will also monitor the correct operation of counting systems, both electronic and mechanical, and carry out in-process checks at set intervals for fill count, seal quality, label accuracy, and overall pack appearance. Pack reconciliation, control of printed materials, and proper handling of rejects and rework will be part of the job.

The role requires strict compliance with potent-area handling and containment practices. You must consistently use the prescribed PPE and respiratory protection such as an air suit, respirator, or PAPR, and help prevent exposure, mix-ups, and cross-contamination through controlled movement of materials and adherence to one-product-one-area rules.

Before and after each batch, you will complete line clearance as per SOP, verify batch details and components, and support product or batch changeovers by removing previous materials and labels. Correct equipment status labeling must also be ensured.

All production and quality records must be completed in real time, including BPR entries, packaging logbooks, reconciliation documents, and IPC records. The role also involves following ALCOA+ data integrity practices, promptly reporting deviations or inconsistencies, and supporting audits from internal, customer, and regulatory teams.

Safety and housekeeping are essential. You will be expected to report spills, exposure risks, unsafe conditions, and line issues immediately, manage potent waste and rejects correctly, and maintain 5S standards in the packing area.

The job also includes coordination with IPQA, QC, Warehouse, and Engineering teams during routine work and issue resolution. You may participate in Kaizen, OPLs, and training programs, and help train new operators under supervision.

Requirements

Candidates should have a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical, along with pharmaceutical experience. Applicants with 6 to 12 years of relevant pharma packing experience may also be considered.

Experience in OSD bottle packing is required, ideally with exposure to potent or high-potency products and controlled packing environments.
