Role overview
This position is a leadership opportunity within timetabling, focused on improving scheduling services across MIT | Unitec. The role plays an important part in shaping a smooth student experience by ensuring timetables are accurate, effective, and make the best use of available space.
Reporting to the Operations Manager - Timetabling, you will guide a capable timetabling team and help deliver efficient, student-centred scheduling support.
What you will do
- Support ongoing enhancement of timetabling tools, workflows, and reporting methods
- Oversee core operational and administrative delivery within the function
- Work closely with academic and operational partners to achieve strong outcomes
- Coordinate team output, staffing priorities, and peak-period workload
- Maintain quality controls, consistent processes, and agreed performance standards

The ideal candidate brings solid experience in scheduling or timetabling, a strong track record in leadership, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a complex setting. This role suits someone who is organised, analytical, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
