Job description
About Glide
Glide is working to modernize the banking experience for today’s world. Its agentic platform helps traditional financial institutions such as community banks and credit unions deploy specialized agents that support growth in deposits and loans. Over the past year, the company has raised $20M and increased revenue by 500%, and it is now scaling quickly.
Glide is hiring its first Talent Engineer to build the hiring function that will help the company bring on the people needed to serve thousands of banks.
This role blends recruiting and engineering. You will create and manage the software, automations, and data flows that power hiring, turning a manual process into a scalable system. You will also decide what should be built internally and what should be purchased, favoring practical, lightweight solutions where appropriate.
This is an early-stage opportunity to help shape a new approach to hiring at a rapidly growing company.
What You'll Do
- Build systems that turn the company’s network into a candidate pipeline by identifying second- and third-degree connections across professional networks, technical communities, and referral relationships.
- Set up and refine automated sourcing and outreach workflows using tools such as Juicebox, Clay, Ashby, and custom-built solutions.
- Design LLM-assisted screening flows that evaluate candidate fit before human review, including prompts, scoring methods, and quality controls.
- Keep Ashby functioning as the central system of record by connecting it with sourcing, outreach, scheduling, and communication workflows.
- Measure hiring funnel performance by tracking metrics such as time to fill, source quality, response rates, and offer acceptance rates, then create dashboards for hiring managers.
- Act as the first point of contact for candidates and help build excitement so strong candidates want to continue through the process.
Who You Are
- You are a systems-oriented builder who enjoys connecting tools, writing scripts, and creating reusable workflows.
- You are personable and easy to connect with, helping candidates feel comfortable and confident about the company.
- You are comfortable using AI tools, agents, and automation before resorting to repetitive manual work, while still knowing when human interaction matters most.
- You thrive in fast-moving environments and are motivated by high ownership and the chance to build from scratch.
Background
The company is open to different career paths for this role. The right candidate may be a technical builder early in their career or an operator from a high-growth company who has already worked with talent or GTM systems. The key requirement is the ability to build the hiring machine.
Why This Role Matters
Glide is entering its most ambitious growth phase, and talent is one of the main constraints on what it can build next. This position exists to remove that constraint and comes with real ownership and a seat at the table as the company grows.
The company is supported by investors including Pear VC and Acrew Capital, as well as the founders of Stripe, DoorDash, Robinhood, Plaid, and others.
Perks and Benefits
- Competitive compensation in the range of $120,000 to $160,000 base, with final pay depending on skills and experience, plus a generous equity grant.
- For U.S. employees, health, dental, and vision coverage, along with a health and wellness stipend.
- Free lunch every day for U.S. employees.
- Unlimited PTO and sick days so you can take time off as needed.
- A complete equipment upgrade, including a high-end computer and your preferred keyboard, mouse, and accessories.
- In-person work from the company’s Flatiron headquarters five days per week.
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the United States at Glide’s Flatiron headquarters. The team expects in-person work five days a week.
Compensation Notes
The benchmark base salary for this role is $120,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation may be above or below that range depending on experience and skill level. A generous equity package is also included.
Additional Details
Talent is currently a limiting factor for the company’s growth, and this role is intended to directly address that challenge. The position offers significant ownership and the opportunity to help define how Glide hires as it scales.
