Role overview
The APAC Talent Acquisition function is looking for a seasoned Technology Recruiter to be based in Singapore. In this role, you will proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with strong external candidates across the region’s Technology teams.
Your work will center on market mapping, research, and direct outreach to build exceptional talent pipelines. You will collaborate closely with the broader talent acquisition group and hiring managers to deliver a polished, high-touch hiring experience.
Key responsibilities
- Design and run proactive strategies to find and connect with leading technology professionals across APAC, with a strong emphasis on direct sourcing and outbound engagement.
- Perform market mapping and talent research to create and maintain pipelines of high-quality passive candidates for both immediate and future hiring needs.
- Use a wide mix of sourcing channels and help position the organisation as a preferred employer in a highly competitive talent market.
- Screen and evaluate candidates for technical ability, relevant experience, and cultural fit, then present concise shortlists of strong matches.
- Work closely with TA partners and hiring managers to clarify role needs, define ideal candidate profiles, and fine-tune search approaches.
- Share ongoing updates and market intelligence on talent supply, pay trends, and competitor movements to maintain awareness of the regional hiring landscape.
- Keep candidate records and pipeline information accurate and current within the ATS.
- Improve recruiting efficiency by making effective use of data, metrics, and AI-enabled tools.
- Help evolve talent attraction methods, tools, and best practices across the global talent acquisition team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of recruitment experience, ideally gained in a headhunting or search-firm setting, with exposure to Technology, AI, or Quant hiring.
- Strong history of engaging passive, in-demand tech, quant, or AI talent in a competitive environment; experience with hedge funds, proprietary trading, investment management, or leading technology companies is an advantage.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with confidence in outreach and in working with candidates and stakeholders across APAC.
- Strong research skills, including market mapping, competitor analysis, and talent intelligence gathering.
- Good relationship management abilities and the confidence to partner with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Self-driven, resilient, and curious about markets, technology, and emerging talent pools.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage several searches and pipelines at once.
- Comfortable prioritising work in a fast-paced, demanding, and constantly changing environment.
- Comfortable using data and AI tools to improve sourcing, assessment, and decision-making.
