Job description
Role Overview
This opportunity is for an Analyst to join the Systematic Strategies Portfolio Strategy and Risk group. The position plays an important part in portfolio analysis, research, and risk oversight across the systematic equities and systematic macro platform. The right person will help uncover and use insights related to portfolio risk and alpha drivers, and will report to the Head of Portfolio Strategy and Risk for Systematic Strategies.
Key Responsibilities
The team’s purpose is to strengthen the results of individual portfolio management teams, reduce the chance of significant drawdowns, and support growth and capital deployment for the systematic strategies platform. In this role, the analyst will investigate topics tied to portfolio risk and strategy, including return sources, shared factor exposures, and stress events in emerging markets. The role also involves creating tools and infrastructure that can identify these insights in a repeatable way, performing ad hoc analysis on strategy performance, and presenting conclusions to senior leaders. In addition, the analyst will work with technology and support groups to help resolve day-to-day production and operational issues while protecting data quality and integrity.
Required Background
The ideal candidate should bring at least 1 year of experience working with quantitative strategies in an investment, research, or risk-related role. Success in the position requires a strong interest in quantitative finance, a proactive learning mindset, solid programming ability in Python and databases, and a firm grasp of mathematical and statistical modeling. The role also calls for comfort working with large datasets, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to communicate analysis clearly and persuasively to support decisions.
Preferred Profile
A personal GitHub profile showing independent projects would be considered an advantage.
