Job description
About Verse Medical
Verse Medical is working to modernize how hospital-level care is coordinated and delivered in the home. The company is tackling an outdated healthcare workflow that still depends heavily on faxes and back-and-forth phone calls. Backed by General Catalyst, SignalFire, and Sapphire Ventures, the business is scaling quickly with a platform that helps providers, payors, and patients work together more effectively so people can receive dependable, high-quality care where they live.
Mission
The organization is focused on making hospital-quality care accessible everywhere and improving a fragmented care system through modern software infrastructure.
Values
- Communicate openly, honestly, and directly, with respectful feedback and full transparency.
- Move quickly, learn through iteration, and favor progress over perfection.
- Bring intense effort when needed, while maintaining a pace that is sustainable over time.
- Approach customer problems with strong empathy and a commitment to solving the real issue.
Role Overview
Verse Medical is seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to lead and expand the company’s core operating engine. This leader will report to the CEO and will be accountable for building the systems, teams, metrics, and operating rhythm needed to support compliant, scalable, and high-quality operations across the business.
The role sits in a fast-growing, highly complex environment and requires someone who has led large-scale, regulated operations. Success in this position depends on the ability to use data, process design, automation, and close collaboration with product and engineering to improve throughput, quality, reliability, and unit economics.
Key Outcomes
- Take ownership of operations across clinician, patient, payor, and internal workflows.
- Use data analysis to identify the main drivers of business impact and turn them into clear organizational goals.
- Build repeatable processes so the company’s operational functions work together smoothly.
- Find areas with weak structure or unclear processes and improve them.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to turn operational bottlenecks into automation and workflow enhancements.
- Evaluate tradeoffs among manual work, redesigned processes, risk-based approaches, automation, and product investment.
- Raise the bar for accountability, ownership, and execution discipline across the organization.
- Decrease day-to-day dependence on the CEO by ensuring important issues are surfaced and handled early.
- Improve alignment and execution across Operations, Clinical, Revenue Cycle Management, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Finance, and Compliance.
Experience and Background
The ideal candidate brings more than a decade of operations experience, including a track record of scaling complex, high-volume environments. They should be highly analytical, systems-oriented, and comfortable leading managers and building strong leadership layers.
This person should be able to identify failure points quickly, design lasting solutions, and operate confidently in regulated settings. Strong partnership skills are essential across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, Clinical, Compliance, RCM, Customer Success, and Sales. Experience using data, process improvements, automation, and workflow tools to lift efficiency and quality is important, along with consistently high standards for communication, talent, and ownership.
Work Location and Schedule
This position is based in the company’s Chelsea office in New York City. The working model is hybrid, with four in-office days each week required to support collaboration and innovation.
Equity and Accessibility
Verse Medical is committed to building an inclusive workplace that reflects the diversity of the patients it serves. The company welcomes applicants of all backgrounds and identifies as an equal opportunity employer.
