Job description

Role overview

This position calls for an experienced data professional to tackle complex supply chain data challenges and strengthen how information is managed across the business. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and improving data procedures, standards, templates, verification methods, and audit-ready documentation. It also requires strong collaboration with both business and technical stakeholders. This is a career-level opportunity.

Work arrangement

The role follows a mostly offsite schedule, with on-site work in the office two days each week. The arrangement may vary based on department needs, training, and project work. The position can also operate within a fully in-office setting if required by policy.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, align, maintain, and manage data contributed by multiple teams so leadership has clear visibility and the business can operate efficiently.
  • Track and improve data accuracy and consistency by understanding how different teams use system data, creating standards, monitoring data quality through automated and manual checks, and resolving issues.
  • Support colleagues whose roles are less centered on data management by sharing expertise on policies, procedures, standards, data administration, documentation, reporting, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and support for moderately complex data environments.
  • Carry out data-related work such as data collection, quality control, disaster recovery, high-availability solutions, data alignment, and software installation/configuration based on business goals and process efficiency needs.
  • Introduce third-party tools or create new data-management processes to evaluate data quality and improve performance.
  • Apply established data-management best practices and techniques while serving as a specialist in more than one area such as collection, consistency, organization, control, and operational alignment.
  • Prioritize assignments appropriately, work with the right level of direction, and complete tasks within deadlines.
  • Share progress, risks, blockers, and workload issues with leaders and customers in a timely manner, and submit accurate status updates and time records when required.

Required qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in a data-management-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in data management, data analysis, and operations.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical ability.
  • Hands-on experience with data management and database operations.
  • Clear and effective communication with both business and technical audiences.
  • Ability to work well in a hybrid setting or fully in-office environment.
  • Willingness to travel between BSWH facility sites, including occasional overnight travel, for training, exposure, and project work. Travel is expected to be 5% or less of business days per year.

Preferred qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Snowflake.
  • Background in healthcare analytics or supply chain analytics.
