Job description
Company Overview
Petroleum Traders Corporation ranks among the largest wholesale-only suppliers of gasoline and distillates in the United States. Its product portfolio includes bulk diesel, bulk gasoline, off-road fuel, heating oil, and biodiesel. In addition, the company offers fixed-price diesel and gasoline contracts along with end-to-end fuel inventory management services. By focusing exclusively on domestic wholesale fuel distribution across the continental United States and not engaging in fuel imports or exports, the organization positions itself as a specialized provider of turnkey fuel solutions that aim to deliver steady value to customers.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a Supply Chain Specialist. The role centers on coordinating fuel supply, keeping a close watch on inventory positions, and supporting day-to-day logistics work so deliveries remain accurate and on schedule. The position also involves monitoring demand patterns, reviewing sales and usage information, working with internal departments and outside partners, and helping improve overall supply chain performance.
Key Duties
In this position, you will maintain inventory records, assist with purchase order activities, help identify and resolve supply gaps or discrepancies, and contribute to improvements in procurement, distribution, and stock control processes. You will also prepare reports, share regular status updates with stakeholders, and support adherence to company standards as well as applicable industry rules.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should bring strong communication abilities, including clear written and verbal interaction and the ability to work well with both internal teams and external contacts. The role calls for strong analytical thinking, with the capability to interpret data, spot trends, and contribute to informed decisions in a fast-moving setting. A background in supply chain coordination, procurement support, and logistics planning is important, as is hands-on experience with inventory tracking, stock reconciliation, and replenishment support. Familiarity with operations management concepts such as workflow improvement and cross-functional coordination is also expected. Comfort using spreadsheets, ERP or inventory platforms, and related business software will be helpful. Experience in fuel, energy, logistics, or distribution environments is an advantage. The role is intended for someone who can work full time on-site in Fort Wayne, IN and stay organized while paying close attention to detail.
Education
An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred, although equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
